Current Studies

COAST (Clarifying the Optimal Application of SLT Therapy)

Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) has been a treatment option for newly diagnosed open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension for nearly 20 years. However, few studies have specifically compared multiple energy levels directly in a head-to-head fashion.

The overall goal of the COAST Trial is to identify the optimal application of SLT therapy beginning at the time of diagnosis.

Optimizing SLT utilization is a key step on the path to drop-free glaucoma therapy.

Adverum Luna: Gene Therapy and the Continuous Delivery of Aflibercept for Long- term Wet Age Related Macula Degeneration

The LUNA trial is a Phase 2, double-masked, randomized study by Adverum Biotechnologies that evaluates the safety of ixoberogene soroparvovec (Ixo-vec) for treating wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD).

Gene Therapy is considered a new standard of care for many diseases. The goal of the study is to optimize gene therapy in eye disease to preserve any vision loss from wet AMD.

If you have been diagnosed with AMD and would like a consultation, please call our research department (313) 577- 4675
